YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. With the financial support of VTB (Armenia), Newmag Publishing House presented a new edition of Alexandre Dumas's novel "The Three Musketeers." The presentation of the new edition took place as part of the Newmag Summerfest 2026 book festival, according to the bank's press service.

The uniqueness of this new edition lies in the fact that for the first time, the novel has been translated into Armenian directly from the French original. This allowed for the most accurate conveyance of the author's style, the artistic originality of the work, and the vision of the great French writer, introducing young readers to the novel in a form as close to the original as possible. "By supporting projects aimed at developing culture, education, and reading, the Bank continues to contribute to initiatives that promote the preservation and popularization of global literary heritage among Armenian readers," commented Ara Avagyan, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB (Armenia).

"Dumas's style is distinguished by its distinctive expressiveness, vibrant color, and subtle humor. This is precisely what we sought to preserve in the new translation, so that Armenian readers can experience the novel as the author intended. We thank VTB Bank (Armenia) for supporting this large-scale project and contributing to the publication of works of world literature in their native language," noted Artak Aleksanyan, Director of Newmag Publishing House.

The new edition of The Three Musketeers will soon be available in all leading bookstores across the country.

Note: In the original novel, d'Artagnan compares himself to "Don Japheth of Armenia," a well-known figure in French literature as a braggart and conceited figure. This reference, missing from the Russian translation, was discovered thanks to the research of translator Samvel Gasparyan.
VTB Bank (Armenia) is regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia.
