YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. The Russian online hotel and apartment booking platform "Ostrovok" has placed Armenia among the top 10 countries favored by Russians traveling abroad for the New Year.

The country secured the 7th position on this list. During the New Year holidays (from December 26 to January 11), bookings for hotels and apartments in Armenia increased by 76%. The average cost for a night booked was 7,300 rubles.

As reported by the service, Armenia outperformed Belarus, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Georgia in the top 10 rankings, while Kazakhstan, China, and Abkhazia filled the last three positions.-0-
