An earthquake measuring 2-3 magnitude struck Armenia on Thursday at its epicenter.
YEREVAN, July 9. /ARKA/. An earthquake measuring 2-3 magnitude struck Armenia on Thursday at its epicenter.
According to the Rescue Service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Armenian Seismic Service recorded a 2.1 magnitude tremor on July 9 at 11:42 a.m. local time (07:42 a.m. GMT) 18 km southwest of the town of Aparan.
The earthquake, which measured 2.0 magnitude, was felt in the town of Ashtarak, as well as the villages of Agarak, Byurakan, Karbi, Apnagyugh, and Aragats in the Aragatsotn region.
