YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the results of the parliamentary elections in Armenia demonstrate citizens' support for peace and regional cooperation.

"My message to Turkish and Azerbaijani societies: the people of Armenia voted for peace and regional cooperation," Pashinyan said.

He added that he expects a positive response from Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The Prime Minister emphasized that institutionalizing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as normalizing relations with Turkey, remains a key task.

"We need to institutionalize peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and open our borders with Turkey. I mean that Turkey must open the border. We need to establish diplomatic relations," he noted.

Pashinyan also thanked Turkey for opening the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway line to Armenian goods.

"We have very good momentum with Turkey. We are satisfied for now, but we must continue this momentum to achieve a final breakthrough—the establishment of diplomatic relations and the full opening of borders," the prime minister stated.

Speaking about relations with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan emphasized the need to sign a peace treaty as soon as possible.

"We need to sign a peace treaty. We also need to launch the TRIPP project as soon as possible, which will change the rules of the game in the region. The blockade of our region will be overcome, because it will transform from a dead end into a crossroads," the prime minister said.
