YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Rospotrebnadzor has sent an additional order to the operator of the Chestny Znak system to suspend the sale of 64.5 million units of Jermuk water in the Russian Federation, the agency's press service told reporters.
"Rospotrebnadzor has sent an additional order to the operator of the Chestny Znak state labeling system to suspend the sale of 64.5 million units of Jermuk mineral natural medicinal table drinking carbonated water in the Russian Federation," Prime quotes the agency as saying.
The order was based on the manufacturer's violations of mandatory technical regulation legislation. Excessive levels of bicarbonate (an ion), chlorides, and sulfates were detected in the water. This could lead to misconceptions about its medicinal properties and negatively impact health.
