YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. At an extraordinary meeting on Friday, the National Assembly of Armenia adopted amendments to the law “On Food Safety” in the second and final reading.

As reported by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tatevik Sargsyan, the requirements for fish farms, organizations for the production of fish products and companies storing them for registration in the Trade Control and Expert Assessment System of the European Union have been approved.

The document also provides for the approval of the procedure for registering business entities in this system, terminating registration and issuing a health certificate for the purpose of exporting fish or fishery products from Armenia to EU countries.

The law will come into force the next day after its official publication. By-laws must be adopted within two months after publication.
