Unibank commented on the publication regarding its inclusion in the EU anti-Russian sanctions package.
YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. Unibank commented on the publication regarding its inclusion in the EU anti-Russian sanctions package.
"Regarding the information presented about Unibank in the article titled 'Armenian Unibank also included in the new EU sanctions package against Russia,' published on the website of Azatutyun Radio, we inform you that this news has no official basis or source," the bank's press service stated.
The statement noted that Unibank has not received any decisions or notifications regarding sanctions, is unaware of any such decision, and continues its normal operations.
The bank explained that international media, including Reuters, citing a document submitted by the European Commission to EU member states for approval, reported that the new EU sanctions package includes banks from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Laos.
