Russia to help establish machine and tractor stations in Armenia

Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade offered their assistance to Armenian Ministry of Agriculture in drawing up a "road map" for the establishment of the so-called machine and tractor stations in Armenia.
YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade offered their assistance to Armenian Ministry of Agriculture in drawing up a "road map" for the establishment of the so-called machine and tractor stations in Armenia.
"During a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Ignaty Arakelyan, held in Yerevan on Thursday, Yevgeny Korchevoy, the head of the department of agricultural, food and road-building machinery of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, proposed their assistance in drawing up a" road map" that will include joint measures for establishment of machine and tractor stations in Armenia, "the press service of the Armenian Agriculture Ministry reports.
The parties discussed possible options for financing the construction of machine and tractor stations. Korchevoy said that in the process of creating machine and tractor stations, it is necessary to identify all the problems, properly organize management to ensure a high level of work.
Russian officials invited Armenian Minister of Agriculture and other specialists to Russia to familiarize with Russia-manufactured agricultural machinery and equipment.
Arakelyan was quoted as saying that an agricultural machinery leasing program was launched in Armenia, designed for medium and large farms. "We will establish machine and tractor stations to provide small farms with modern machinery and equipment," he said. -0-
