Armenia and Uruguay set to deepen ties

The Armenian parliament ratified last Friday a framework agreement signed with Uruguay in 2014 July in Montevideo.
YEREVAN, June 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian parliament ratified last Friday a framework agreement signed with Uruguay in 2014 July in Montevideo.
According to Deputy Foreign Minister ShavarshKocharyan, the aim of the agreement is to strengthen and develop bilateral relations.
He noted that the framework agreement provides for cooperation in various fields - economy, commerce, finance, agriculture, science, technology and culture.
"We need to strengthen ties with Uruguay, especially that it was the first country to recognize officially the Armenian Genocide of 1915," said Kocharyan. ---0---
