Regional geopolitical risks remain the main deterrent to investment in Armenia for foreign investors, according to Anna Kazaryan, Head of Equity Research at Sirius Capital.

"Also, parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia this year, which is usually a factor of uncertainty for investors. Market liquidity is also insufficient to attract investors," she said in an interview with ARKA news agency.
According to her, high uncertainty persists in foreign markets, which discourages investors: they don't know where to invest in the current situation.
"In Armenia, investors are looking for high returns, which are becoming rare, as the main trend in the local market recently has been a decline in returns," she explained.
Speaking about investor sentiment in the second quarter, Kazaryan believes that, given the geopolitical situation and the upcoming elections in Armenia, investors will approach investment decisions with caution.
