YEREVAN, July 6. /ARKA/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated the importance of maintaining comfortable conditions in Armenia for the activities of Russian investors and protecting their legitimate interests.

He said this at a meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom-2026” in Yekaterinburg.

“It is important that the Armenian government continues to create a comfortable regime for the activities of Russian investors and ensure that their rights and legitimate interests are respected,” Mishustin said.

According to him, despite the turbulence of the global economy, Russia ranks first among Armenia’s foreign trade partners and investors.

Mishustin noted that Russian companies are actively working in the mining industry, mechanical engineering, transport infrastructure, energy in Armenia, including peaceful nuclear energy, as well as in the digital economy.

He expressed hope that the new government of Armenia, which will be formed based on the results of the elections, will ensure the further progressive development of Russian-Armenian relations in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness, mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests.

The head of the Russian government also said that all issues of bilateral cooperation are under constant control of the Intergovernmental Commission.

According to Mishustin, the participation of representatives of Armenia and Russia in the Innoprom-2026 exhibition opens up opportunities for joint projects, joint production and industrial cooperation, especially with the participation of small and medium-sized businesses.

He also pointed out the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, proposing to continue the tradition of holding cultural days, exhibitions, festivals, educational and youth events, as well as developing direct interregional ties.

In conclusion, Mishustin declared his readiness to discuss the entire range of issues in bilateral relations.
