Over 907,000 tourists visited Armenia in January-June 2025

YEREVAN, July 22. /ARKA/. Over the first 6 months of 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia amounted to 907,13 thousand compared to 946,1 thousand in January-June 2024, the Tourism Committee said in a Facebook post.

It is indicated that the largest number of tourists arrived in Armenia from Russia (36.9%, or 330,362 people), Georgia (14.4% or 129,672) and Iran (8.5% or 76,861).

According to the Committee, in June alone, 215,253 tourists visited Armenia compared to 180,718 people in June last year, recording an increase of 19.1%. Thus, June 2025 became the second month since January 2024 (after May) during which an increase in tourist visits was recorded.

Earlier it was reported that the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia during 2024 decreased by 4.7% to 2 million 208 thousand. According to the analysis of the Ministry of Economy, the decrease in tourist flows was primarily due to a decrease in the number of visitors from the Russian Federation, who made up the largest share (42.5% of the total number of all entries into the country versus 49.1% in 2023). -0-
