YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has decided to provide 175 million drams as additional aid to hotels in the province of Syunik, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said Wednesday when speaking in parliament.

"The hotels in Syunik were particularly affected by the shocks of the coronavirus and the 2020 war in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, and because there were a number of security problems, employment in the hotels in Syunik was insufficient. In this regard, the government decided to give them an additional aid of 175 million drams," he said.

At the same time, Kerobyan noted that the authorities are closely watching the development of tourism throughout Armenia and especially in Syunik, and are ready to provide additional assistance in case of need. ($1 - 481.65 AMD). -0-
