First Russians arrive in Armenia with internal passports

Twenty-seven Russian citizens arrived in Armenia on February 23 with their internal passports, a spokeswoman for Armenia’s Civil Aviation Administration Satenik Hovhannisyan wrote on her Facebook page.
YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. Twenty-seven Russian citizens arrived in Armenia on February 23 with their internal passports, a spokeswoman for Armenia’s Civil Aviation Administration Satenik Hovhannisyan wrote on her Facebook page.
The decision of the Armenian government to allow Russian citizens to travel to Armenia with their internal passports entered into force on February 23. Twenty of those Russians arrived in Armenia through Zvartnots airport in Yerevan and the other 7 through Shirak airport in Gyumri.
Armenian government believes that the decision will be instrumental in bringing more Russian tourists to the country as well as stimulate economic growth. -0-
