Armenians would like to spend vacations in EU countries

European Union countries are the most attractive destinations for Armenian tourists, according to the findings of the EDB Integration Barometer, a yearly research conducted by Eurasian Development Bank's (EDB) Centre for Integration Studies.
YEREVAN, October 27. / ARKA /. European Union countries are the most attractive destinations for Armenian tourists, according to the findings of the EDB Integration Barometer, a yearly research conducted by Eurasian Development Bank's (EDB) Centre for Integration Studies.
Respondents in the CIS countries were asked which country they would like to go on vacation or for tourism purposes. According to the study, 47% of respondents in Armenia would like to spend their vacations in the EU countries, 26% - in the CIS countries and 29% - in other countries. France (25%), Russia (20%) and Germany (17%) were the top 3 tourist destinations for Armenians.
The respondents in CIS were asked also tourists from which countries they would like to visit their countries. The survey results show that 50% of respondents in Armenia would like them to be from France, 39% from the USA and 37% from Russia.
Some 8,500 CIS citizens were embraced by the survey conducted earlier this year in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan. -0-
