YEREVAN, November 12. /ARКА/. Armenia and Oman are in talks to launch direct flights, the Armenian Tourism Committee announced following a meeting between Lusine Gevorgyan, head of the committee, and Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouk, Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism.

The parties discussed the potential for tourism development between Armenia and Oman, as well as the positive trends observed in recent years.

It was noted that citizens of both countries can travel visa-free, which contributes to tourism growth, making the launch of direct flights crucial.

Gevorgyan invited the Omani minister and representatives of the Omani private sector to attend the international tourism exhibition in Yerevan from November 21–23, as well as the New Year's tree lighting ceremony in Yerevan on December 13.-0-
