YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. Changes to the visa regime were discussed by head of Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, and Minister of Tourism of Montenegro, Simonida Kordić.

At the meeting held within the framework of the international exhibition ITB Berlin 2026, issues of bilateral tourism cooperation were discussed, including changes in the visa regime, tourism statistics and the latest developments in the industry.

The application of digitization and AI tools, as well as the possibility of cooperation within the framework of international exhibitions, festivals and other events, are touched upon.

The importance of launching direct flights to Tivat in 2026 is emphasized, which will contribute to the growth of tourist flows.

The Armenian side presented a draft memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism aimed at deepening bilateral ties and sustainable development of tourism.

About the decision of the cabinet of Montenegro

On October 9, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Montenegro made changes to the decision on the temporary visa-free regime for the citizens of Armenia, Uzbekistan and Egypt, suspending the effect of the previous decisions on the temporary visa-free regime for the citizens of these countries.

In accordance with the obligations stipulated by the Reform Program for 2024-2027 and the final stages of joining the EU, Montenegro continues to harmonize its visa policy with the policy of the Union.
