YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. A company, owned by former Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan that conducted regular inspection of safety of household gas stoves and pipes is expected to be eliminated, local daily “Zhamanak" (Time) reports.
According to the daily, for many years Armenian households had to pay for this service to AEG Service company, owned reportedly by former prime minister Karen Karapetyan, who had also served for many years as head of the national natural gas distribution company ArmRosGazprom (now Gazprom Armenia).
The daily says this service (inspection of gas stoves and pipes) will be carried out now by employees of the Ministry of Emergencies and the households will no longer be forced to make monthly payments for services that actually were not provided. -0-
