YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has ruled today to fine the Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA) national power distributing company to the tune of AMD 20 mln.

According to the PSRC’s ruling, the company failed to comply with the terms established by the network distribution rules in the process of connecting a number of consumption systems to the network

PSRC said administrative proceedings had been initiated to study possible violations of the requirements prescribed by the regulations.

As a result, it was confirmed that the deadlines were violated and it was found that applicants and consumers were not duly notified of the reasons for the delays and were not paid the penalties they were due.

In particular, 950 consumer systems were not connected to the distribution network on time. In other 6,322 cases, the systems were connected with violations of the established deadlines, and in another 1,870 cases the applicants were not notified of the reasons for the violation of the connection deadlines, the expected timing of electricity supply and they were not paid penalties.
