Armenia studying UAE's experience in solar energy storage

YEREVAN, October 1. /ARКА/. Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan discussed a number of energy-related issues in Abu Dhabi with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

According to the ministry's press service, the UAE minister was briefed on solar energy development trends in Armenia and discussed the UAE's best practices in solar energy storage.

Potential cooperation in the water sector was also discussed.

According to Armstat, solar power plants in Armenia generated 927.2 million kWh of electricity in the first seven months of 2025, an increase of 70.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Solar energy accounts for 16.7% of total energy generation.-0-
