Sports Village for Pan-Armenian Games to be constructed in Jrvezh
YEREVAN, August 21. /ARКА/. The Armenian government has sanctioned a project to develop a 23.3-hectare section of the Jrvezh forest park located in Kotayk province for the Pan-Armenian Games Sports Village.
The relevant investment program, amounting to 20.9 billion drams, was previously presented to the government by the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games.
The Sports Village is intended to host participants of both the Winter and Summer Pan-Armenian Games. In the initial phase, the organization plans to construct eco-houses, a dining facility, and a medical center; these constructions do not involve permanent structures, as stated in the government's decision.
Looking ahead, there are plans to establish various sports fields and gyms covering an area of 110-120 square meters.
Upon the completion of the three phases of the investment program proposed by the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games, approximately 1240 new jobs will be generated (assuming full occupancy of the facility), and around 20,000 trees will be planted. ($1 - 382.7 drams).-0-
