YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday decided to release additionally 200 million drams from its Reserve Fund for preparing athletes for international competitions.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Ara Khzmalyan said the additional funding will be provided to the sports federations.

"These funds will be used to purchase modern equipment and conduct training sessions so that Armenian athletes can prepare for world and European championships in 2022," Khzmalyan noted.

He said the money will be distributed to basketball, boxing, wrestling, swimming, weightlifting, shooting, gymnastics, judo, fencing, volleyball and tennis federations. ($1 - $450.71 dram). --0--
