YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) is scheduled to review Veolia Jur CJSC's proposal regarding water supply and sanitation prices for the year 2026 during its meeting on November 26.

At present, the prices for 2025 for socially vulnerable customers stand at 180 drams, while for other consumer categories, it is 200.42 drams per cubic meter.

As per the draft new decision available on the regulator's website, the prices for drinking water provided to socially vulnerable customers will be set at 153 drams per cubic meter, and for sanitation services, it will be 27 drams (the figures include VAT).

For other individual consumer categories, the prices will also remain unchanged at 170.36 drams for water supply and 30.06 drams for wastewater disposal, respectively.

This results in the same rates of 180 drams and 240.42 drams, respectively.

The draft further indicates that the prices for wholesale drinking water supplies to other customer categories (including companies licensed for water supply and wastewater disposal, community budget organizations, and non-profit entities) is established at 39.9194 drams per cubic meter, while the wastewater disposal tariff is fixed at 19.9597 drams.

For the Yerevan Metro, the suggested tariff for groundwater drainage services is 12.9749 drams per cubic meter. According to the draft, the PSRC's decision will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Veolia Jur CJSC, a subsidiary of the French firm Veolia Generale des Eaux, serves as the exclusive operator of water supply and sanitation in Yerevan and several regions across Armenia. Since January 1, 2017, Veolia Jur has overseen the assets of five companies: Yerevan-Jur, Armvodokanal, Shirak Vodokanal, Lori Vodokanal, and Nor Akunk, under a 15-year concession agreement. 

In accordance with the license terms, Veolia Jur is authorized to propose annual price adjustments. ($1 = 381.60 drams).-0-
