YEREVAN, January 15. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Thursday, the Armenian government approved the vaccination schedule and the procedure for issuing international vaccination certificates.

Vaccination targets and indicators for children under 3 years of age were also approved.

"The schedule includes more than ten types of vaccines. In recent years, modern vaccines have been used, some of which include multiple vaccines. Efforts to inform the public about the need for vaccination are yielding results. The vaccination rate among children under one year old in 2025 will reach its highest level since 2011 (the period for which data was recorded) – 95.1%. Progress is also being made in other age groups," said Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan.

According to her, great importance is attached to working with parents and specialists. Separate measures are being taken to combat chickenpox.

"Seasonal flu vaccinations began last September. Ninety-five percent of the 200,000 doses have been used. This plays a role in preventing outbreaks," Avanesyan said.
