The number of laboratory-confirmed cases of measles in Armenia has reached 39 as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Ministry of Health reported.

YEREVAN, March 8. /ARKA/. The number of laboratory-confirmed cases of measles in Armenia has reached 39 as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Ministry of Health reported. It said 36 of them are not vaccinated, three received only one dose of vaccine.

Of those sick, 18 were hospitalized, seven others were discharged. The condition of the patients is assessed as moderate, except for two who are in serious condition.

According to the national vaccination schedule, vaccinations against measles are provided for children aged 1 year and 4-6 years.

The Ministry of Health urged parents of unvaccinated children to contact the clinic to get their children vaccinated and reminded that persons who have been in contact with measles patients and have not received two doses of vaccination against the viral disease are also subject to vaccination. --0-
