Temperatures in Armenia expected to plunge to 17 degrees below zero
YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. Rains and sleet are expected across Armenia on March 29, in some parts on April 1 overnight and in most parts on March 30-31, the National Weather Service reported.
It said fog and thunderstorms are possible in some areas. Clear weather is expected on April 1 and 2. The speed of the south-eastern winds will be 5-8 m / s. On March 29-30, the wind may increase to 20-25 m / s in some areas.
The temperatures will decrease by 6-10 degrees on March 30, by another 8-10 degrees on March 31 and by another 4-6 degrees on April 1 overnight.
Short showers are expected in Yerevan tonight. Rain with thunderstorms are also expected on March 30. On March 31, the snow will fall in some parts of the city. The temperature in the capital Yerevan on Wednesday afternoon will rise to 20-22 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the temperature will drop to 14-16 degrees and on Friday it will drop to 2-4 degrees.
The thermometer will rise to 9-11 degrees on Saturday and to 13-15 degrees on Sunday. The temperature on Saturday overnight is expected to drop to 1-3 degrees Celsius below zero, and from 1 degree below zero to 1 degree above zero on Sunday night.
The coldest will be on Saturday night in Aragatsotn mountains - 14-17 degrees below zero. Up to 13 degrees below zero is expected in Kotayk at night hours, In Shirak and Lori mountains, the temperature will drop to 12 degrees below zero, to minus 11 degrees in Vayots Dzor, and to 6 degrees below zero in the foothills of Syunik. -0-
