Temperatures across Armenia expected to drop sharply
YEREVAN, May 24. /ARKA/. Part of a cold atmospheric front, moving from Scandinavia to the south, is expected to reach Armenia later today, the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring said on its Facebook page.
According to it, it will bring sleet to some mountainous parts of the country in the late hours of May 24 and early hours of May 25. The temperature in these parts will drop to minus 1 degree Celsius.
Earlier, the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring predicted occasional rains with thunderstorms in most regions of the country on May 24 and 25, saying also hailstorms were possible in some places.
No precipitation is predicted on May 26-28. The gusts of western winds will be 2-5 meters per second. During thunderstorms wind gusts may speed up to 18-23 meters per second. The air temperature will gradually decrease by 7-10 degrees. -0-
