Temperatures across Armenia do drop by several degrees
YEREVAN, July 20. /ARKA/. Armenia will be affected by heat waves coming from the Arabian Peninsula on July 20 as well with the daytime temperatures expected to reach 39-41 degrees Celsius in Ararat Valley, in Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor provinces and in the capital Yerevan, the National Weather Service said.
According to it, the temperatures will decrease by 4-5 degrees on July 22-23. No rains are expected today, but occasional rains with thunderstorms are expected on July 21-24 in some parts of the country.
The speed of the southwestern winds is 2-5 meters per second. In Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn it may increase to 13-16 meters per second in the evening hours.
On Wednesday afternoon the temperature in Yerevan will rise to 39-41 degrees Celsius. It will drop to 37-39 degrees on Thursday and to 31-33 degrees by Sunday. Decrease in temperature by a few degrees is also expected beyond the capital. -0-
