The  Stepan Gishyan charity foundation, run by ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, has summed up the results of grant competition projects for 2019 that had been announced at the beginning of the year.

YEREVAN, May 10. /ARKA/. The  Stepan Gishyan charity foundation, run by ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, has summed up the results of grant competition projects for 2019 that had been announced at the beginning of the year.

 According to the press service of the bank, this year some 250 organizations and individuals aplied for grants by submitting one or more development projects embracing areas such as socio-economic, education,  science, health and culture. The charity chose three projects for financing.

The first project, submitted by the Armenian Sustainable Development Foundation is aimed at creating innovative classes for learning French. 

Assistance will also be provided to the social organization Step Up, which organizes development, education and recreation programs for children with different needs, for their brothers and sisters, as well as for children from large and socially disadvantaged families.

The third finalist is the community non-profit organization Museum of Fine Arts after Karl Abovyan in the town of Vanadzor, which will have the opportunity to supplement its museum with modern digital tools - audio books in four languages.

 “To this day, the charity foundation  has assisted 9 organizations, providing an opportunity to implement promising and useful projects for society in a number of key sectors. This year, the three projects selected by the foundation  are in the same realm, ”said the head of the foundation Anna Gishyan.

In 2015, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, French Credit Agricole, the National Federation of Credit Agricole and the family of Gishyan founded the Stepan Gishyan charitable foundation (http://foundation-gishyan.am/).

ACBA was established in 1996 as part of EU’s TACIS program. As a result of a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between ACBA Bank and the French Credit Agricole the latter became the biggest shareholder of ACBA in 2006, September. ACBA was restructured, becoming a closed joint stock company and was renamed ACBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK. -0-
