In 2019, 639 residential buildings were constructed in Armenia, by 8.5% more than in the previous year, the National Statistical Committee said.
YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. In 2019, 639 residential buildings were constructed in Armenia, by 8.5% more than in the previous year, the National Statistical Committee said.
According to statistics, the total living space of new buildings amounted to 234,128 square meters, which is by 12.7% less than in 2018.
The construction of 9 buildings was financed by organizations, a decrease of 85.7% compared to the previous year, and the construction of 622 buildings was financed by the population, an increase of 18.3%.
The bulk of new housing was built in the capital Yerevan - 66.3% of the total, which is 23.5% less than in the previous year. The Kotayk province accounted for 15% of the new housing built in 2019, while the province of Shirak only for 0.3%. -0-
