Another 143 new buses to replace 363 minibuses in Yerevan

By September 1, 2023 all 363 battered Russian-manufactured Gazel minibuses, which serve 24 routes in Armenia's capital Yerevan, will be replaced with 143 Chinese and German-made buses, Vazgen Harutyunyan, head of Yerevan Municipality Transport Department, said today.
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. By September 1, 2023 all 363 battered Russian-manufactured Gazel minibuses, which serve 24 routes in Armenia's capital Yerevan, will be replaced with 143 Chinese and German-made buses, Vazgen Harutyunyan, head of Yerevan Municipality Transport Department, said today.
The replacement is part of a radical overhaul of the city’s outdated public transport system.
Harutyunyan also informed that Yerevan authorities will launch a new route from June 1 that will run between Zvartnots International Airport and France Square in downtown Yerevan.
The new route will be served by German-made buses MAN, which will run every 45 minutes. -0-
