Some 400 new ramps are to be built in Yerevan within the next few months, said Andranik Tevosyan, acting head of the Construction and Improvement Department at Yerevan Municipality.

YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. Some 400 new ramps are to be built in Yerevan within the next few months, said Andranik Tevosyan, acting head of the Construction and Improvement Department at Yerevan Municipality.

“The work has already started ‘and, if we have time, they will be built by August this year,” Tevosyan noted at a working meeting at the Municipality on Monday .

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said that the construction of ramps is not an end in itself – ‘it is necessary to plan them in such a way that they are accessible for wheelchairs and baby strollers.’
