Salary of Armenian medical workers to rise by 15%

Some 10,000 medical workers in Armenia will see their salaries rise by 15% from August 2018, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said on his Facebook page.
YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. Some 10,000 medical workers in Armenia will see their salaries rise by 15% from August 2018, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said on his Facebook page.
He said the additional money, required to fund the rise is about 700 million drams. ‘The rise will apply to about 10,000 doctors and mid-level health workers in polyclinics and outpatient clinics," he said.
Torosyan urged the medical workers to justify the trust of the ministry and citizens by raising the quality of medical services.
He said serious reforms must be carried out in the primary healthcare system, in particular, mechanisms have been developed that will allow health workers to receive bonuses for higher quality of the services. ($ 1 - 481.49 drams). -0-
