President visits wounded servicemen at rehab center

YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian visited today a rehabilitation center in Yerevan built for wounded servicemen to congratulate them on the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia.

The presidential press service said Sarkissian spoke to servicemen who arte currently being treated at the rehabilitation center and had breakfast with them. He also expressed gratitude to them for their dedicated service to the homeland wishing them speedy recovery.

The head of state stressed the importance of returning servicemen to normal life after treatment in the center. According to the president, it is necessary to create preferential conditions for the employment of servicemen who goes through this center so that they do not depend on various types of allowances, but be able to earn their own money.

The center operates as a holistic rehabilitation complex, where besides the health problems of disabled soldiers, their social integration, education and work issues are also being addressed. -0-
