Police in Vardenis investigate attack against a gold mine security employee

Police in the Armenia'n town of Vardenis have started an investigation into an attack against a gold mine security officer with the use of firearms, reported on December 1.
YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. Police in the Armenia'n town of Vardenis have started an investigation into an attack against a gold mine security officer with the use of firearms, reported on December 1.
According to a Police report, on December 1 at about 23:00 a local resident identified as Vahagn M. 32, shot AKM machine gun in a Sotk gold mine security employee Yuri M., born in 1981. The latter with a gunshot wound on the left foot was taken to hospital.
As a result of search operations Vardenis police officers managed to track down the attacker, disarm him and detain. The police seized the machine gun and a box with 19 bullets. -0-
