YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. The Armenian government will put up on sale a building in the center of Yerevan owned by the Police, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan said during a government meeting on Thursday.

According to him, the administrative building has a total area of ​​1,934.8 square meters and 0.07 hectares of adjacent territory. He said the building, estimated to cost 1.294 billion drams (about $2.69 million), will be alienated on a competitive basis.

He said a commission created to coordinate the sale of the police -owned building will place all the details of the competition a month before its start on the official website of the State Property Committee at www.azdarar.am.

The head of the government staff Eduard Aghajanyan said since the building will not be auctioned, as is usually done in such cases, but sold through a tender, the emphasis will be placed on the content of the tender applications.

“It will be a competition of programs. The commission will explain in details what new owner can do during the renovation process and what cannot do. Everything will be done to provide potential investors with as much details of the deal as possible,' he said. –0--
