Passengers to be evacuated from Italy will be quarantined, minister says

Armenian citizens who will be evacuated from Italy by a charter flight scheduled for March 15 due to the coronavirus will be isolated, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan told reporters on Thursday.
YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. Armenian citizens who will be evacuated from Italy by a charter flight scheduled for March 15 due to the coronavirus will be isolated, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan told reporters on Thursday.
Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinian announced on March 11 that a charter flight from Rome to Yerevan will evacuate Armenian citizens from Italy. He said all the financial expenses will be covered by the Armenian government, the Atlantis European Airways, and the Armenia International Airports company.
“Given that the situation in Italy is exacerbating and the number of deaths has almost reached 1 thousand , and more than 12 thousand people have been infected we are discussing the possibility of placing all the passengers of March 15 flight in a special detention center,” said Torosyan.
"Only persons with certain complaints or symptoms will be taken to the hospitals for testing," said Torosyan.
The latest tree new cases of coronavirus reported on Wednesday, brought the total number of confirmed cases in Armenia to four. Two of the three people testing positive for the coronavirus infection are citizens of Armenia aged 45 and 27 and one is a 51-year-old Italian who works in Armenia. All three had arrived from Italy. -0-
