The Armenian government paid for 861,845 medical services rendered in 2023, which is by 74,981 more than in 2022, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said in Parliament today.

YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. The Armenian government paid for 861,845 medical services rendered in 2023, which is by 74,981 more than in 2022, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said in Parliament today.

She also noted that in 2023 the ministry implemented 46 measures to increae the volumes of free in-patient medical care and services to the population in hard-to-reach areas.

According to her, the list of the most frequently diagnosed serious diseases remained the same - cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, malignant neoplasms. In particular, in 2023, the number of medical services for oncological diseases increased by 50,000, which is 1.5% more than in 2022.

Avanesyan emphasized that the Health Ministry will continue to increase the availability of medical care for the population, including financially.

"Medical care should be of high quality and meet modern standards and requirements," Avanesyan said. -0-
