More than 30 residents of Armavir community get poisoned with drinking water
YEREVAN, August 13. /ARKA/. Armenian Ministry of Health said today that five of 31 residents in a community in Armavir province who had symptoms of intestinal diseases after drinking water, were hospitalized.
The ministry said on August 11, at about 23:30, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention received a signal from the Armavir medical center that 8 residents of the Khanjyan community applied for medical care with symptoms of intestinal infection (vomiting, diarrhea, fever), and six of them were hospitalized.
The ministry said an epidemiological study found that all the residents on August 9 used water purchased from a mobile water tank.
On August 12, as a result of house to house visits by specialists of the National Center, 31 people were identified with symptoms of intestinal diseases, five of whom were also hospitalized, and medical control was established for the rest of the patients.
As of August 13, some 8 patients continue receiving treatment at the Armavir medical center, their health condition is assessed as mild and moderate with positive dynamics.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal investigation into the poisoning of citizens with drinking water. - 0--
