The Armenian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and CNFA Company, which implements the USAID-funded project "Economic Foundations of Sustainable Armenia", signed a memorandum, the Ministry's press service reports.

YEREVAN, 15 July. /ARKA/. The Armenian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and CNFA Company, which implements the USAID-funded project "Economic Foundations of Sustainable Armenia", signed a memorandum, the Ministry's press service reports.

The document, signed by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs David Khachatryan and Project Manager Artak Ghazaryan, is aimed at the effective implementation of the project designed to provide housing for Nagorno-Karabakh refugees, introduce necessary management tools and develop human potential.

"At present, the Armenian government is implementing long-term plans to provide housing and economic integration of the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh. I consider the signing of this memorandum important for this stage, which will ensure sustainability and more effective implementation of the ongoing projects," said Armenian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan.

On June 14 this year, the Armenian government approved the procedure for providing assistance to refugees from Karabakh either to purchase or build a house.

The beneficiaries of the programme are refugees who have obtained Armenian citizenship.

In 2023, families with 3 or more children became beneficiaries of the programme. From 2026, families with 2 or more children can join the programme, and starting

2027, all other ewfugee families. -0-
