Armenia's Investigative Committee said a career army officer Andranik Mkrtchyan, whose dead body was found on Sunday in the territory of a military unit with a gunshot wound in the jaw area, might have killed himself.

Armenia's Investigative Committee said a career army officer Andranik Mkrtchyan, whose dead body was found on Sunday in the territory of a military unit with a gunshot wound in the jaw area, might have killed himself. It said the gunshot was made by Mkrtchyan's automatic machine gun.
Given the signs of suicide, the Investogative Commitee has opened a criminal case on the grounds of the first part of Article 110 of the Armenian Criminal Code (driving to suicide).
An investigation team has been formed, all the necessary investigative measures are being carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
