YEREVAN, January 12. /ARKA/. The influenza A virus, subtype H3N2, continues to circulate in Armenia.
According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the RA Ministry of Health, low activity of acute respiratory infections was recorded in the country during the second week of 2026.
Almost 68% of all registered cases were among the 0-18 age group, with the highest rate still observed among children aged 0-4.
During the same period, the number of hospitalizations with acute respiratory viral infections in healthcare facilities decreased by 1.3 times compared to the previous week.
Children and adolescents aged 0-18 account for 92.8% of all hospitalizations.
