YEREVAN, January 27. /ARKA/. According to the results for December 2024, compared to December 2018, 189,000 new jobs have been created in Armenia, as reported by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"The average salary has increased by 156,000 drams, or 70%," he wrote on his Facebook page.

According to the latest data from the State Revenue Committee, based on income tax and social payments calculations by taxpayers, the number of jobs in Armenia in November 2024 amounted to 782,832, which is 6.1% more than in November 2023.

As noted in the report of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, "Armenia: Economic Prospects. January-September 2024," the average monthly salary in September 2024 was 279,279 drams, an increase of 6.8% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, in the public sector, the average salary in September 2024 was 218,809 drams, showing a growth of 7.2%, while in the private sector it was 303,015 drams, reflecting a growth of 6.5%.
