Forecasters predict warming in almost all of Armenia
Temperatures rose by 3-5 degrees Celsius on January 2 in all parts of Armenia, except the capital Yerevan and the Ararat Valley, the National Weather Service said.
The average daytime temperatureы фку expected to be 6-10 degrees above zero in almost all mountainous regions and foothills. The temperature in the valleys of Syunik and Tavush provinces will jump to 14-17 degrees Судышгы, and to 18 degrees in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The nighttime temperatures will range from 2 degrees below zero to 5 degrees above zero.
No precipitation is expected in the capital and regions of Armenia in the next 5 days. The daytime temperature in Yerevan will be 5-7 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperature will down to 5-8 degrees below zero.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Gagik Surenyan said that a warm air mass from Africa will enter Armenian territory to raise temperatures throughout the country. The temperature will rise everywhere except Yerevan and Ararat Valley because of the stagnation of cold air in these places. --0-
