Farmers affected by flooding in Lori and Tavush will receive 6.6 million drams in support – government decision
YEREVAN, July 10. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided at a meeting on Thursday to allocate 6.6 million drams to support farmers affected by floods in Lori and Tavush regions.
According to the decision, residents who suffered losses in agriculture but for various reasons did not take advantage of the compensation procedure will be provided with funding to compensate for the damage caused.
The number of economic entities that will receive financial support has been determined – 19 beneficiaries.
The emergency situation arose in Tavush and Lori due to heavy rains on May 25-26, 2024, as well as the overflowing of the Debed, Aghstev, and Tashir rivers. The natural disaster claimed the lives of four people. The settlements affected by the flooding in these two regions were declared disaster areas.-0-
