Armenian weather forecasters predict 8-10 degrees temperature rise
YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. Starting from February 18 temperatures across Armenia will gradually rise by 8-10 degrees Celsius, the National Weather Service said today.
According to the forecasts, light daytime snowfalls are expected on February 16 in some parts of the country and snowstorms in the mountainous regions. No snow is forecast for February 17 - 20.
The temperatures in Shirak, Lori and Gegharkunik provinces, as well as in mountainous parts of Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Aragatsotn will rise from current 25-26 degrees below zero to 8-13 degrees below zero.
The highest temperatures will be in Syunik, Artsakh, Armavir and Ararat regions, as well as in Tavush and foothills of Vayots Dzor - up to 10-15 degrees above zero.
The wind is expected to strengthen in the capital Yerevan today, and snow will fall in some areas. No snow is expected in the capital city on February 17-20.
On February 16-18, the temperatures will grow by 3-5 degrees during the daytime and drop to 6-10 degrees below zero at night. --0--
