Armenian university applicants to pass one exam only

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Armenia's university applicants will pass one exam only, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araik Harutyunyan said in a Facebook post today.
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Armenia's university applicants will pass one exam only, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araik Harutyunyan said in a Facebook post today.
He said the applicants should apply for entrance exams from May 25 to June 15 and choose an exam subject, the university and specialization. All applications will be accepted exclusively in electronic form on a special platform of the ministry, the minister stressed.
The minister stressed that the exams will be held in special examination centers throughout the country, which will be equipped with everything necessary to ensure the applicants' safety.
The centers will be located near the applicants' places of residence. They will be allowed in in small groups and in masks, according to the minister.
He said the entrance examinations will be held in the first ten days of July, so that applicants have time to prepare.
According to the minister, magistracy admission exams will be held from June 16 to 30, and the results will be published on July 5. Also, applicants for post-graduate courses will not have to pass foreign language and computer science exams.
Entrance exams to colleges and technical schools will be held in August after applicants receive their secondary schools graduation certificates. -0-
