YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has ruled today to cut electricity prices for households by 1.1 drams beginning from February 1, 2017.

The daytime rate for the population (from 7.00 to 23.00) has been cut from the current 46.2 to 44.98 drams per 1 kWh and the nighttime rate - from 36.2 to 34.98 drams (all prices include also VAT).

The regulator has set lower prices for certain categories of citizens. For example, socially vulnerable segments will pay 40 drams per 1 kWh during the day and 30 drams - at night

The PSRC has already cut electricity prices earlier this year. From August 1st the daily rate for households was reduced to 46.2 from 48.78 drams (5. 3% drop), and the nighttime rate - from 38.78 drams to 36.2 drams (6.7% drop) for 1 kWh ($ 1 - 481.77 drams). -0-
