YEREVAN, 26 September. /ARKA/. A temporary commission was set up in the National Assembly of Armenia to study the living conditions of Nagorno-Karabakh residents forcibly displaced to Armenia.

The commission, according to the legislation in force, was set up at the request of at least 1/4 of the total number of deputies.

The draft resolution of the National Assembly, which will determine the number of members of the commission, will be discussed at the next four-day session of the parliament.

On 19-20 September 2023, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale aggression against Artsakh using artillery, UAVs and combat aviation. On 28 September, after negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan issued a decree on the dissolution of all state institutions of the republic, and from 1 January 2024 the Republic of Artsakh ceaseds to exist.

The residents of Artsakh were forced to leave their homeland and move to Armenia. According to the data of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, more than 115 thousand residents of Artsakh have been accepted and registered. To assist them, the Government of Armenia is implementing a number of programmes. --0--
