YEREVAN, October 12. /ARKA/. The government will subsidize the tuition fees of students who were forced to flee Nagorno-Karabakh and settle in Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at the government session today.

The government approved today a system of compensations for tuition fees in higher educational institutions.

According to the deputy prime minister, a list with average tuition fees has been compiled, and the amount of compensation will range from 400 thousand drams to 700 thousand drams per year.

Khachatryan noted that if the cost of education is lower or equal to the amount envisaged by the government, the education fee will be fully paid by the government. In case the annual fee is higher than the amount of compensation, the state will allocate additional 30 thousand drams per year.

Earlier the government allowed Nagorno-Karabakh students to continue their education in Armenia-based universities. -0-
